Valenzuela-Kentex Fire Incident”

PRO ARMM personnel express its heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families and loved ones of the 72 victims died during the fire in Kentex Manufacturing factory in Valenzuela City.

A special Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), headed by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and composed of members from the national police, the fire fighting service, the justice and health departments, has been established to conduct an investigation regarding the incident. The IATF assures that those responsible for the incident will be held liable.

With regards to the identification of the victims’ bodies, the PNP will provide free DNA sampling to all the victims. Though the PNP admits that it will take time to finish all 72 bodies, the victims’ families are assured that the process would be as accurate as identifying the bodies through fingerprints.

The PNP leadership appeals to the victims’ families for patience as they await for the results of the DNA tests.
